Here are six of my favorite illustration projects, from pen and ink and watercolor to digital paintings and vector art. Select a project below, or scroll down to view them all.
Medium: Adobe Photoshop
Client: Team Read
Key features: Brand colors; hand-lettering; retro cartoon style
Because their programs moved to Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic, Team Read didn’t have any recent photos of their program participants to use in advertising their 2021 fundraiser. I created an illustration and original hand-lettered title for their event, Team Read Rocks—and they loved it so much that they asked me to create additional illustrations they could use throughout the year.
Medium: Ink
Client: Lost Art Press
Key features: detailed line-art; strong lines; accurate detail
Lost Art Press needed an illustration of a historic site for the die-stamped cover of The Handcrafted Life of Dick Proenneke. I did extensive research to ensure that the depiction of the cabin was accurate, down to the number of logs and the angle of the table legs in front. I carefully selected a line weight and level of detail that was simple and bold without sacrificing accuracy.
Medium: Adobe Illustrator
Client: Pride Foundation

Key features: Colorful; fantastical; creative
Medium: Ink (brush, nib pen)
Key features: Black and white; clean; old school; detailed
I pride myself on my ink illustrations in particular. These black ink illustrations are highly versatile, detailed, and charming.
Medium: Adobe Photoshop
Client: Pride Foundation
Key features: brand colors; representational illustrations; colorful
I created this series of digital illustrations for Pride Foundation to represent five experiences of connection from the pandemic years of 2020 and 2021. I created a sense of branding and cohesion with the use of Pride Foundation’s primary brand color throughout and selected a different seasonally-inspired palette for each individual frame to hint at the passage of time.
